Introduktion til Artikelsøgning
The course is directed at students and health scientific employees who need an introduction to literature searching within health scientific databases (primarily PubMed and Embase or CINAHL).
Description: The course goes through the process of searching for literature (primarily articles) within health scientific databases, focusing on PubMed and Embase or CINAHL. The course goes through literature searching in general, search options, keywords (MESH terms among others), as well as where and how a user account can be created, and searches saved. The course consists of a presentation and a direct search. You are welcome to bring a laptop, but this is not a requirement.
Target: The course is aimed at students in the process of writing a large assignment, or for someone who needs to be able to search for scientific articles. There are no prerequisites for participation in the course.

The course is directed at students and health scientific employees who need a walkthrough of the functions available when using the reference management tool EndNote.
EndNote Workshop: Videncentret has a workshop about the reference management tool, EndNote, where the most important functions are demonstrated. During the course, you will learn how to add references, and attach files (fx PDF’s) to these references. The course goes through the creation of folders/groups, the interaction with Word and how you apply your references, fx when writing an article (Cite While You Write). We will briefly go through how to change or add output styles.
You must bring a laptop, with the EndNote software installed. The installation file for EndNote can be installed using USB-drive available in Videncentret, og can be downloaded directly from a OUH-PC under Installation of software (Available under the title Thomson Reuter EndNote). Students at SDU can download EndNote from Blackboard/E-learn.
Target: The course is aimed at people involved in the practical creation of scientific articles, theses or research projects, as well as Master students, who, in that connection, apply a reference management tool.

The course is directed at students and health scientific employees who need a wwalkthrough of the functions available in Covidence, as well as how Covidence and EndNote work together.
Description: Covidence is a web-based software, applicable in the sorting of literature for systematic reviews (primarily RCT’s), meta analyses or clinical guidelines. During the course, you will learn to import references from EndNote, or other reference management tools. You will get a walkthrough of the interaction between EndNote and Covidence, and will learn to apply Covidence to sort and assess the references. Finally, we will show you how to generate a flowchart, and how more reviewers can be invited.
Target: The course is aimed at people involved in the creation of scientific articles, theses, or research projects, or Master students, who, in that connection, apply a reference management tool.
